Why use our soap?
Our main ingredient is Olive Oil...I LOVE OLIVE OIL. It is a great ingredient and has been documented as being used on the skin since Biblical times. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamin A & E. It has been believed to help heal acne, slow down the aging process of skin and help with stretch marks. These are just a few of the reasons I like to use Olive Oil.
Coconut Oil an oil that it is also non toxic to people. This oil is great for the skin. It is said that it may help with, reducing symptoms associated with psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. It helps control dandruff, helps prevent damage caused by the sun. It helps promote healthy skin and hair.
Palm Oil is also great for hair and skin. This oil is rich in Vitamin A, D, K, & E. It is a natural antibacterial which makes it great for acne prone skin. We purchase our palm oil from a company that practices sustainable harvesting. It does cost more, but we feel it is worth it.
Beeswax, we use beeswax because it is a natural skin protector, it has a natural SPF of about 4, it also is a natural antibacterial.
Honey is a natural humectant, which means it helps pull moisture to the skin or hair. It is also a natural antibacterial. Did you know that it is the only food that will not spoil. We know this because honey was found in King Tut's tomb. Amazing, that it was still edible. Who tasted that anyway???

What's the difference?
What is the difference between store bought soap and my handmade honey and beeswax soap?
First off most soap that you buy in the store is made with synthetic or man made ingredients. These man made ingredients often cause dryness and irritation or even a sensitivity to soaps. Many people with allergies and other skin ailments do better with handmade soaps.
Second, many, many, many products are made with mineral oil. And this is the response I get from most people is," So?" And I say to you, do you know what it is??? It is the by product of oil. It is a liquid mixture of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum. And yes it has been around for ever. And it is used in everything. There are many debates going on whether or not mineral oil is or is not good for you. Why not use something that we is know is healthy and has been used to treat skin ailments around the world. The cosmetic and soap industry love mineral oil because it is a cheap by product. Why should they purchase products that cost more, when people are willing to pay a lot for the mineral oil. The fact is that you can buy mineral oil for $0.06 per ounce and some of the oils we use in our products cost as much as $1.38 per ounce just for the base product and then when adding the essential oils they are often priced by the drop. I like to add oils that are skin loving and have natural healing, and anti-aging properties to them.
